Greetings folks,

About the watch: eldest brother of the 5712, the 5085 houses the same caliber 240, which is also used in the extra-slim 3940 perpetual calendar. The 22 carat micro rotor rotates on ball bearings, and the movement is hallmarked with the prestigious Geneva Seal. The movement has 29 jewels and has a free-sprung Gyromax balance.

The integrated steel bracelet radiates a shiny beads of rice feel, and is very light and comfortable to wear. It is crisp and snaps on and off tightly. The screw down crown affords confidence when having to wash the timepiece or go for a quick dip in the pool. I believe the 5085 was first produced in 1998 in small numbers, and discontinued after 4 or 5 years.

Condition: 96% with no dents or dings, just hairlines from wear. The supremely legible matt black T-dial is flawless and the hour markers have developed a yellowish patina. Hands and indices still glow. Performance wise, there are no issues at all, keeping well within COSC standards. Case is 37mm and just under 9mm slim. 48 hours of power reserve with moonphase.

Box and papers, instructions, unnamed Certificate of Origin, original envelope, stylus. Asking USD 13,900. Solid references available.
