Your vision and complete satisfaction. The selection of amazing leathers, craftsmanship, and dedication to you. That's what a Europelli 100% Handmade strap is all about.

Custom crafted, 100% handmade straps are available using some of the world's finest leathers from Horween® Leather Co. This means each strap will be individually handmade to your specifications. You select the length, width, stitch color, edge color, keeper arrangement, adjustment hole placement and more. No machinery will be used on your strap, as each step involved in creating it is performed entirely by hand.

There are no shortcuts to quality. Ever.

Let's Create Your Masterpiece:color>

First, select the premium hide that appeals to you most. Next, go through this checklist and consider the following:

1. Wrist Measurement: Although it is not mandatory, your wrist measurement (in inches or cm) can be very helpful. Knowing the size of your wrist will not only help me suggest a strap length, but it will also enable me to strategically place your adjustment holes for a more tailored fit. For example: I would like to get you set up with 5 holes in total. Using your wrist measurement, I will do my very best to place you in position #3 most often. This will put you in the middle of the row, as well as leaving you with two options in either direction. As you can see, your wrist measurement can be very helpful in offering you the best fitment. I don't particularly like the look of "one strap fits most", where there are 7 or 8 unnecessary holes in otherwise beautiful leather.

That said, if I do not have your wrist measurement, I will hand punch 5 holes in these positions: 50, 57, 64, 71, 78mm each having a dead center from the lug end where it attaches to the watch

2. Length and Width: Now that you know your wrist measurement, you can either ask for my assistance in selecting a strap length, or simply refer to the sizing chart on the custom handmade page of my website. Select the length that you prefer and the width your watch requires. Currently, I am offering 18x18mm, 19x19mm, 20x20mm, 21x21mm, 22x22mm, 23x23mm, 24x24mm, and 26x26mm straps in any length. If you need a width other than these...just ask!

3. Stitch Color: Consider the variety of 16 different stitch colors from which to choose, including 3 flavors of white. The most popular right now are: Vintage Patina, Titanium, Bronze, Natural, Black, and White.

4. Edge Color: All edges (sides) will be hand burnished. From there you can choose to leave them raw/natural, stained black, stained brown, or stained burgundy.

5. Keepers (Loops): How do you like your keepers? 1 sewn in and 1 floating? 1 wide floating? 2 floating? Constructing a strap with 1 sewn in keeper and one floating is the most difficult and time-consuming, but it's also "standard equipment" on a Europelli Handmade strap. Why? Because I think that's the right way to do it. However, if you prefer an alternative, just let me know and consider it done. My goal is to make it the way YOU want it!

6. Buckles: If you are in need of a buckle, there are several from which to choose:

Screw Type buckles secure to your strap with a machined screw and can be transferred from one strap to the next. Screw Type buckles, in either the Pre-V or Ardillon (thumbnail) shape, are available separately.

Sewn In buckles are also available in the Pre-V shape. A Sewn In buckle will be a permanent part of the strap and cannot be removed. There are also some subtle design differences, as these have a more historic feel. Available separately, the Sewn In buckles come in a variety of different shapes and finishes.

Spring Bar buckles are available in the Ardillon (aka Thumbnail) shape and attach with a traditional spring bar.

7. Special Treatments: Hand burnished and sealed sides will be part of every strap I build. However, there are a few optional treatments that can dramatically enhance the appearance of your strap. Flame toasted top edges and/or keepers, as well as my special "JV" Distressing treatment are a few to consider. The end result is pretty spectacular! This is where you can truly create your one-of-a-kind strap. These treatments are usually best on leathers such as Natural Tan Baseball Glove or Dark Tan Chromexcel.

Here are some examples, along with descriptive notes above each photo.size>

Special Editions are straps that have undergone a special in-house treatment in order to achieve a desired look.

Limited Editions are leathers that are unusually difficult to obtain due to their rarity. This results in only a small number of straps that can be made.

Horween Genuine North of Cordovan Horsehidesize>

Truly, one of the finest leathers on earth. Period. It is available in Black, Oxblood, Chocolate, Limited Edition Burgundy, Limited Edition Cigar, and Limited Edition Marine Blue. Rather than being made from cow hide, this is made from the portion that connects and is just above the two shells on the hindquarter of a horse. Hence the name "North of Cordovan". This is an amazing Pull-Up leather that will age beautifully. Essentially, it takes the very best characteristics of genuine shell cordovan and combines it with the very best characteristics of Horween's famed Chromexcel leathers. One example can be found within the finish. Rather than having an overly glossy finish like shell cordovan, or one that's more flat/matte, North of Cordovan has a satin finish that's perfectly situated in between. This results in the wonderful versatility of being able to dress it up or down depending on the stitch color you select. In the end, the result is a luxurious leather that is tough as nails, supremely supple comfortable to wear from Day 1, and versatile enough to compliment nearly any watch for any occasion. It is also impregnated with natural oils and waxes during the lengthy tanning process, so special care is not required like is with genuine shell cordovan. It is, by far, one of the most exquisite leathers I've ever seen. Custom Genuine North of Cordovan Horsehide straps are sale priced starting at $164.

Black North of Cordovan Horsehide: Horween's highly-prized North of Cordovan leather produces a black color that is particularly special. Unlike some other black leathers that don't have a great deal of visual depth, Black North of Cordovan has a richness and depth of color that goes beyond the surface. By this, I mean it is exceptionally black in color—not a very dark grey that lacks life. The Pull-Up effect on black is usually less than on lighter leathers. The regular price is $200.00. Special Sale Price: $164. An absolute bargain for the deepest black leather I've ever seen.

Oxblood North of Cordovan Horsehide: The second color of NOC Chromexcel leathers, with this one having the most dramatic Pull-Up characteristics. The red tones are stunningly revealed within the break (bend), making this a truly magnificent leather. The remarkable richness and depth of color offered by this leather exceeds just about anything I've ever seen before. One might first think it is close to Chocolate, but they are significantly different from one another. Unfortunately, due to the rarity, cost, and difficulty in obtaining this color, the sale price isn't as deep. The regular price is $215.00. Special Sale Price: $174. This is an incredible leather in a very classic color.

Chocolate North of Cordovan Horsehide:The third color of NOC Chromexcel is Chocolate brown. This is an amazing Pull-Up leather that will age beautifully, and reveals lighter shades of dark tan within a bend. The deep rich color of this leather is just fantastic in person. The regular price is $200.00. Special Sale Price: $164.

Limited Edition Horween Genuine North of Cordovan Horsehidesize>

Limited Edition Burgundy North of Cordovan: This stunning leather shows more pronounced red tones than Oxblood, and the depth and richness of color is unsurpassed. At the same time, it's darker than Oxblood—and gets very close to Color #8. In my opinion, it's the benchmark of artistry when it comes to showcasing what Horween can do with leather. Burgundy North of Cordovan reveals these more vivid red tones in a tight bend, such as the keepers or within the lug area. In addition, it provides an incredibly handsome contrast against a black, brown, or white dial. Consider one for yourself while it's available in very limited quantities. The regular price is $225.00. Special Sale Price: $179. Along with the LE Cigar North of Cordovan, perhaps the best value anywhere. Period. I just can't say enough about this stunning leather!

Limited Edition Cigar North of Cordovan: Cigar is a medium brown color that will reveal slightly lighter tones in a tight bend, such as the keepers or within the lug area. It is has somewhat of a vintage look, but with a very high level of finishing details. When working with this leather, I quickly discovered that its perfect neutral tone encourages the use of virtually any stitch color. In fact, I included just a few to show the versatility of this wonderful leather. Logo Blue looks amazing when worn with jeans and/or a blue dress shirt, Olive Green is a creative way to coordinate with LumiNova markers, and Rustic Red can accentuate a splash of red that may already exist on your dial. Whether you want something traditional in an exquisite leather, or are willing to have some fun with color, Cigar is truly the ultimate in refined vintage elegance! Consider one for yourself while it's available in very limited quantities. The regular price is $225.00. Special Sale Price: $179. Along with the LE Burgundy North of Cordovan, perhaps the best value anywhere.

Limited Edition Marine Blue North of Cordovan: These are very rare specimens and I feel fortunate to have them. Are you the proud owner of a Panerai PAM 659, 690, or 689? This offers the perfect combination of colors to compliment both your dial and the lume.

Maybe you just want something different and unique. Something of exceptional quality that's still reasonably conservative. Something that feels just as comfortable with a blue dress shirt as it does with your favorite pair of jeans. Look no further. This is it right here. Order now—it is close to being Sold Out.
The regular price is $225.00. Special Sale Price: $179

Special Edition Horween Genuine North of Cordovan Horsehidesize>

The difference between this Special Edition and the standard version can be found by looking at the edges. The full perimeter, on both the front and back sides, have been distressed to offer a more casual look. It also creates an added element of interest from the profile view.

Special Edition Black North of Cordovan: 50% Vintage + 50% Refined = 100% Perfection. This is the Ultimate in Casual Elegance! Horween's amazing North of Cordovan horse hide is the foundation. All edges are then carefully distressed in order to offer a wonderful vintage look. However, the combination of this rare premium leather and expertly finished sides offer refinement and tailoring. While it can be used on any watch, this wonderful strap was originally inspired by much of today's Panerai line. Just like the brand itself, it's a blending of vintage and new. Old-school, but with a high level of finishing details. It's sophisticated casual elegance at its best. The regular price is $210.00. Special Sale Price: $174.

Special Edition Oxblood North of Cordovan: 50% Vintage + 50% Refined = 100% Perfection. This is the Ultimate in Casual Elegance! Horween's amazing North of Cordovan horse hide is the foundation, and Oxblood has an amazing depth and richness of color. The regular price is $225.00. Special Sale Price: $184.

Special Edition Chocolate North of Cordovan: 50% Vintage + 50% Refined = 100% Perfection. This is the Ultimate in Casual Elegance! Horween's amazing North of Cordovan horse hide is the foundation, and Chocolate has an amazing depth and richness of color. The regular price is $210.00. Special Sale Price: $174.

Horween Vintage Chromexcel Saffianosize>

Horween Vintage Chromexcel Saffiano: Is it a refined world-class leather? Is it vintage? It's both! Horween's coveted Chromexcel leather serves as the foundation. The original Saffiano micro-crosshatch texture was first developed by Mario Prada, but is used today by various haute couture houses and is traditionally reserved for their very finest leathers. The color variation not only offers a wonderful true vintage look, it also guarantees each strap will be one-of-a-kind. As if that weren't enough, the extremely subtle crosshatch pattern supplies just the right amount of added interest. The real character to this leather lies within its visual texture rather than its physical texture, while the reverse is true of the Natural Essex Saffiano. Just like many of the other leathers I offer, its neutral color provides the perfect backdrop for an array of different stitch colors.

If you enjoy a vintage look and feel to your fine leathers, and have grown tired of so-called "ammo" straps that all look like cousins to one another, then this is one you should consider while it's still available. This is yet another strap that will require zero break-in, and finishes out at approximately 4mm thick. The supply of this leather is exceptionally limited! The regular price is $219.00. Special Sale Price: $165. Limit of 2 per customer, please.

Horween Natural Essex Saffiano: Horween's coveted Natural Essex leather serves as the foundation, but this one is particularly unique. To begin, Essex is 100% vegetable tanned using the same blend of liquors and extracts as Genuine Shell Cordovan. It is an extremely strong and durable leather, but one that is also supple due to it being enriched with oils during the tanning process. The final stages include hand glazing and aniline finishing.

The original Saffiano micro-crosshatch texture was first developed by Mario Prada, but is used today by various haute couture houses and is traditionally reserved for their very finest leathers. The coveted Saffiano pattern supplies just the right amount of added interest, without being overpowering or distracting. In addition, its neutral Natural color provides the perfect backdrop for an array of different stitch colors.

This is yet another strap that will require zero break-in, and finishes out at 4mm thick, if not a fraction under that after being hand stitched. The supply of this leather is very limited and it has a Special Sale Price of $165 with a limit of 2 per customer please.

Horween Genuine Latigosize>

Latigo leathers are made by many tanneries, but Horween has perfected their version over the past 113 years spanning 5 generations. It is combination tanned, fat liquored, infused with natural waxes and oils, mill dyed, and hand glazed. Due to its elaborate and lengthy tanning process, it ranks among the most costly cow hides. It is absolutely beautiful in person, very supple, smooth to the touch, and the single hides I have in each color below are nearly flawless in every respect.

Horween Saddle Tan Genuine Latigo: Saddle Tan is absolutely beautiful in person and one that will develop a rich golden patina with time and wear. In other words, its depth of color and wonderful look will only increase with age. If you like it now, you'll simply love it later. That desirable warm golden glow will enhance and coordinate with the vintage lume found on the dials of many of today's watches.

In addition, this classic Saddle color provides the perfect backdrop for virtually any stitch color. This is yet another strap that will require zero break-in, finishes out at approximately 4mm thick, and only $150 during this special sale.

Horween Cognac Genuine Latigo: This wonderful Cognac color can either provide a terrific contrast to a black or white dial, or coordinate with tobacco/brown dials. What I enjoy most about it is that it is not your typical brown or tan that is so often seen. It's definitely within the brown family, but it has the additional elements of honey and rust tones that truly make it interesting. This strap will require very little break-in, is just a true pleasure to wear, and finishes out at approximately 4—4.5mm thick. The supply of this leather is exceptionally limited, yet it is priced at only $150 during this limited time sale. It's just an absolutely beautiful leather in every respect!

BEAUTIFUL NEW LEATHERS NOW AVAILABLE!size>

Left to Right, all in Horween Genuine Latigo: Maraschino, Steel Blue, Graphite Gray

Steel Blue Genuine Latigo shown with Titanium hand saddle stitching

Steel Blue Genuine Latigo shown with Vintage Patina hand saddle stitching

Steel Blue Genuine Latigo: This masculine Steel Blue color can either provide a terrific contrast to a black or white dial, or coordinate with blue/anthracite dials. It's neutral in color with defined elements of both blue and gray, and pairs easily with any number of different stitch colors.

This strap will require very little break-in and finishes out at approximately 4mm thick. The supply of this leather is very limited. Introductory Sale Price: $150.

Maraschino Genuine Latigo shown with Titanium hand stitching.

Maraschino Genuine Latigo shown with Vintage Patina hand stitching.

Maraschino Genuine Latigo: This exciting new Maraschino color can provide a fantastic splash of color while not being over the top and still maintain its masculinity. Whether you would like to create a visual contrast against any dial color or simply pick up on an element of red that exists within your dial, Horween's Maraschino Genuine Latigo is the perfect way to do either.

This strap will require very little break-in and finishes out at approximately 4mm thick. The supply of this leather is very limited. Introductory Sale Price: $150.

Graphite Grey Genuine Latigo shown with Titanium hand saddle stitching

Graphite Grey shown with multiple stitch colors to illustrate its versatility.

Graphite Gray Genuine Latigo—A Fresh and Modern Alternative to Black!: This beautiful new Graphite Gray color offers a unique and exceptionally masculine alternative to black. It has the effect of making a black dial appear richer, deeper, and "blacker", and looks incredibly handsome with virtually any stitch color. To illustrate that, I've used 5 different popular stitch colors to show just how versatile this leather truly is. Unlike the new Steel Blue Latigo, this is a pure gray and without elements of other underlying tones. Yes, this particular gray is the fresh and modern alternative to black!

This strap will require very little break-in and finishes out at approximately 4mm thick. The supply of this leather is very limited. Introductory Sale Price: $150.

Special Edition Urban Traveler: The inspiration behind this strap was simple: Develop a look similar to the nicer two-tone canvas messenger and laptop bags. Just don't use canvas.

Many of these bags are visually terrific looking, combining lighter canvas within the body, then using a darker rich leather as an accent color on flaps, pockets, etc. Pretty handsome looking, aren't they? The only downside to canvas, in general, is that it always looks like a cost-cutting choice to full leather. And what's the downside to canvas when used in a watch strap? It absorbs perspiration and harbors bacteria like a sponge. Sorry, but that's just the way it is. Plus, there's just no romance, artistry, or pride in the making of canvas like there is in a high quality leather.

The alternative solution? Use this Horween calfskin as the foundation, then select a secondary color to be used as the keeper in the leather of your choice, as well as using your favorite among the 16 different stitch colors. Use North of Cordovan Horsehide, Genuine Chromexcel - or anything else you'd like. The results will ooze casual sophistication and style, it should be more satisfying, certainly more luxurious, and potentially one-of-a-kind by your own design. A few brief examples are shown below, but the sky's the limit in terms of the different color combinations available. If you prefer something a bit darker, as for details about using Horween's Saddle Latigo as the base. It's a smarter, more refined and upscale alternative to canvas. Step it up. You'll be glad you did. The regular price is $175.00. Special Sale Price: $155.

Limited Edition Badlands Bison: An incredibly unique and limited version of the standard hide, this exceptionally unique Horween leather has massive texture and visual appeal. It's also very supple and comfortable to wear, and you can rest assured that it won't be duplicated by anything else in your strap collection. This one is a bit more streamlined, finishing out at approximately 3-3.5mm thick. The regular price is $180.00. Special Sale Price: $155.

Terra Cotta: This gorgeous leather offers a light golden brown base, with slightly darker browns mottled throughout. It has a flat/matte finish, and produces a streamlined 3.0mm finished strap. The regular price is $165.00. Special Sale Price: $145.

Special Edition Chromexcel ST: Horween's Natural Chromexcel leather is the foundation, then I go to work on making it truly unique. Before the building process begins, the leather is lightly distressed to create the effect you see. It almost looks like wood grain, yet you can't feel it. Then, the entire surface is hand burnished. If this step were not done, it would still look very nice - but it would be somewhat dull. Now it has a rich, warm glow that's typically associated with a natural patina developed over time and wear. It's a long process, but the result is outstanding! This is yet another strap that will require zero break-in. The regular price is $190.00. Special Sale Price: $155.

Rustico Mogano Chromexcel: The Rustico Mogano leather is a wonderful deep Mahogany color with a rustic/vintage appearance from natural wrinkling. This leather is exceptionally supple and will require zero break in. This one is being shown with Palomino stitching, which is also new. The regular price is $185.00. Special Sale Price: $150.
