The serial number on the movement places the date of production of this JUB 30.10 RA PC movement at 1947. The signed 17 jewel chronometer grade calibre JUB 30.10 RA PC bumper automatic movement was the first chronometer automatic produced by Omega, and preceded the Constellation series chronometer automatics by several years. The movement is clean, running fine and keeping excellent time. There were only 4000 Centenary models produced with the 30.10 chronometer movement. The solid 18k gold snapback case on this piece is in excellent condition, and features the classic thick, beefy lugs. At 35mm in diameter, this is the reference 2500 model (as opposed to the slightly smaller 33mm reference 2499). The excellent and unusual champagne gold satin dial is solid 18k gold, and is signed, "Omega, Automatic, Chronometre, Swiss Made."
